June 26, 2015, Historic?

une 26, 2015, a historical day we thought we would never live to see. And by historic, it is not a day our country can be proud of.

We of course talking about the Supreme Court's ruling in favor of gay "marriage."
It is a day many never dreamed possible. How could our country turn its back so far on God that it would dare to redefine God's definition of marriage? Well, whether we want to believe it or not, that day has come.

While the Supreme Court may have ruled in favor of gay "marriage," the SUPREME COURT has already ruled and the SUPREME COURT trumps our Supreme Court, just as our Supreme Court trumps all the other courts of this nation. God has ruled that marriage is defined as one man and one woman, period, with no exceptions.
Really this cultural war goes all the way back to Genesis, man wanting to be God and dictate his own terms for his life.
There is no debate, however, on this issue, Genesis 1:27 has left no room for deliberation over this, "So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them."

The Supreme Court has not redefined marriage, as they have no power to do so. They could rule tomorrow that there is no God, but it wouldn't change the reality that there is indeed a God and He is the one who created marriage.
The Supreme Court ruled forty years ago that abortion was legal, but they neglected the law of God that says all life is precious in His sight. Their ruling did not change the truth of the sanctity of life and their ruling on marriage has not changed its definition either. The Word of God does not change with man's whims and ways, the Word of God stays the same, yesterday, today, and forever.

No, God's standard has not changed; sin may be "legalized" and labeled as "normal" but it never, ever, makes it right.

No matter how dark it may seem now for us Christians as our country takes another step away from God, one thing we know, God is still God and He is still on His throne, with power and control over all things!

God's standard on marriage hasn't changed, so neither has ours. Come what may, we will stand on the truth found in God's Word as all other ground is sinking sand.

It is so easy after a decision like this is made to start seeing the people who attack us as our enemies. Let us remember, Satan and his spiritual forces of darkness are our enemies. The people trapped in their sin and the darkness, deceived and blinded, they are not our enemies! They are so lost, in need of a Savior. They need God's love as much as us! God loves them too and wants all to come to His Son Jesus! Let us always remember to hate the sin, not the sinner.
It is unreal to see how lost people are and it hurts our hearts to see how far others have chosen to go from our Lord. They are trying to build their identity, to fill that emptiness inside of them. But they will never be at peace until that day they come to find their identity in Christ and see the world through the truth in His Word.

There is one thing for certain though, as we continue to watch this spiritual battle unfold, lines are being drawn and you are either for the Lord or against the Lord. You can't be a fence sitter, you are either with the Lord 100% or you are 100% against Him. There is a need for faithful soldiers of the cross who will fight for truth and rally around the cry, no compromise! We are in a spiritual war as Christians and this all comes down to a battle for the souls of men and women. Eternity in Heaven or Hell awaits every human being. We must give ourselves wholly and solely to the Lord and in His strength reaching out to others with the gospel.

We are going to be attacked for our stance on marriage, but I'd rather be a gatekeeper on the Lord's side then a ruler on the side against Him. (Psalm 84:10)

Also, be encouraged to know that there is still a remnant out there that stands on the truth of God's Word. We are not alone! And believe it or not, there is still time for a revival! Let us get down on our knees and spend time in prayer for God to have mercy on this nation and that we might turn back to Him wholeheartedly with faithful and humble hearts.

No matter how dark the night, greater is He who is in us, then he who is in the world! May we stand un-compromised on the truth of God and His Word, never backing down from the good fight!

To God alone be the glory!

Joshua 24:15
